He is good at his job, successful at it, likes it. You are right, I don't find anything unsuitable about it. I don't find the job unsuited to him or him unsuitable for the job. In fact, I don't see the difference. You don't like it, and want him to move to a different profession. Though, you have framed that as 'out of compassion for him.' I still fail to see your point. Probably because it doesn't ring through as the empathy you are claiming.

The job is unsuitable for him only by the legal requirements imposed on him which are not intrinsic to doing the job. The debate is about those legal requirements.
