Hey Rambi!

In the months leading up to conflict with Iraq, we discussed, debated and argued at great length the pro's and cons of invading Iraq. Reasonable people disagreed, I'm not interested in rehashing that long drawn out discussion. To quickly summarize my point of view, there was a combination of unique reasons we decided to remove Saddam from power.

1. He was willing to use WMD. Had done so in the past, and would likely do so again in the future.
2. He desired to expand his empire and attack other nations in the region. He was a destabilizing element in an vital part of the world.
3. He had the financial resources to continue developing wmd and very likely would eventually develop a nuclear weapon.
4. He was an unconscionable mass murderer who had committed horrific atrocities on his own people. He was a human rights violator of the first degree, killing anyone who threatened his power structure.

It seemed to me, as I read the debate and considered the pro's and cons, we had far greater reason to take Hussein out of power then we did Milosovic.

Italy is a lot of fun, yes, the gang is all here, come visit, we can dump Dan and go zipping around in my scooter to see the beautiful sites. hehehe :)
