Very encouraging. The rest of the country should take notice. Yep. It is too bad we have to do it with Charter Schools and Vouchers, which leaves the main schools still sunk in incompetence. We need accountability from the school bureaucracy, and teachers who can be held responsible. That is impossible to get with the present system. The problem with all the special programs is that we need to restructure on the basis of getting the average principal to motivate the average teacher to get better results from the average student. It can be done in a non-profit system, but it takes the installation of good supervision and followup. Everything else disappears when the spotlight is off.
