Argentina was decoupled from Brazil. Affected by two years of economic crisis, Argentina is more and more accepting riding on Brazil's coat-tails and abandoning its going alone strategy of macho nationhood. negotiation of NAFTA as a LatAm block is becoming more and more feasible. Once LatAm block solidifies, it can face real discussion with the US. For the first time in 200 years all head of states of the continent met. It took two centuries for the other countries, young republics ruled by Spain to forget the fact that Brazil had a king form the house of Orleans, Braganca and -most dangerous- the Habsburgs. It was about time. Only Brazil was standing up for the US and talking as equals. Now it is time for all the continent -acting as single entity- to give the US a run for their money.
