Most Americans are completely ignorant of macro-economics (see all the posts of Patsy McKee as an example). It's the ONLY reason the Democratic party is still in business. Your posts indicates that you are among the many.

A Reagan can lead our people out of the darkness for a generation or so, but a Clinton/Rubin usually comes along after that to screw things up. Bush is the next wave of intelligent economics in American history...

There is, however, hope that our 20th century economic Dark Age is finally ending (with Social Security as one of the ultimate casualties). The emergence of 401(k)'s has made tens of millions of Americans a lot smarter than they were 30 or 40 years ago. The partial privatization of Social Security will expand that positive trend-which is why the Democrat cat-burners are so afraid of it.

Time to toss the cat-burners into their own bonfire, and begin to end the plague of ignorant socialism in America...
