The Israeli press is openly talking about killing Arafat.

"The" Israeli press ?

Everyone (the French, Americans, Islamists, Israelis) says, "Our thugs get a pass; your thugs should be assassinated, or at least tried by the ICC."

Given the moral obliquity of all international players I have no interest in seeing a so-called "International Court" in the hands of the Europeans putting out international arrest warrants for Americans anytime soon, that's all there is to it.

Yet at least two Israeli Prime Ministers (Begin and Sharon) meet the definition of terrorist, using any objective definition.

Yes, we know about your singular obsession with Israel.

As for those prisoners on that Cuban island, those that would still be alive at all would be living at the bottoms of holes dug in the Afghan countryside if they got the typical treatment the world's countries (outside Europe and the US) dishes out for such people, let alone the Afghan warlords. I won't speculate what China would have done to them if they'd been rounded up in one of Bejing's slum clearances....

I consider Walker to be such an outlier event that it doesn't make sense for me to worry about him. I'd rather see Texas end the death penalty, because those people on death row there don't have well off parents in Berkeley to at least mount a facade of a defense or publicity for their cases.
