Hi Dara,

<<What factors do you consider when deciding to sell?>>

Technically how far the stock might rise vs. how far it might fall and the relative odds of those possibilities. Before I make that determination on a particular stock, I do the same thing for the sector... in this case HUI or XAU. It's much more difficult for an individual stock to rise when the sector is not technically friendly or at least neutral. My concern now is that the odds on the metals sector are deteriorating (remember that I am a contrarian and value trader), so I am slowly taking profits and keeping only those issues with the best chance of making the largest percentage gains if I am wrong.

Dara,

One more thing (at least <g>)... the size of my position both in a particular stock and in the sector.

For example, I will often buy an oversize position at a bottom that seems solid and then sell down to a more normal sized position after an initial rally. Thanks to Slider for that trick.
