Since 1991 the US has tortured Iraq with the embargo of basic necessities. Medical supplies are just part of the picture. In addition to denying access to medical supplies, the sanctions also banned water purification equipment. The oil for food program was for all practical purposes a Mafia tactic of "sell us oil at the price we set, or you don't eat". Also, don't forget that since the first Iraq invasion, their currency has been devalued to the tune of 8000 to 1. Reports of the bombing of hospitals was widely reported before a single shot was fired by ground forces. The intentional targeting of utilities was also widely reported and is also specifically prohibited under International conventions. Of course, all of that is probably moot considering the invasion itself was illegal from front to back, and every piece of propaganda Aldolf Bush used to hype the illegal attack has turned out to be totally bogus. The real danger to the Bush Cartel was that Iraq was on the verge of proving they had totally disarmed at the time of the invasion, which would have caused the sanctions to be lifted. So, instead of two bucks a gallon for regular, we'd be looking at more of the Clinton era gas prices around a buck. To date, this unprovoked attack has cost the average American household $5000 a piece and should be a cause for deep shame to any right thinking person with even a hint of honor. This site has quite a bit of information on US war crimes related to the 1991 attacks and the only real difference between the two invasions is this time there wasn't even a scam provocation involved.deoxy.org
