I wish you could keep the conversation a bit deeper than "I don't believe that for a second" and "I prefer our system". As it is, this is just not interesting. You seem to expect me to find a Googled article for you so that you can post another one for me et cetera ad nauseam. It makes one long for the days when those who didn't know anything on a subject would just listen, rather than sift through millions of articles for one that would slightly support their preconceived opinions. The problem with Google, of course, is that without a sufficient knowledge base one cannot tell intelligent commentary from irrelevant rubbish. The article you have posted is very much the latter. Did you even READ it? It actually says the system was better under Assad because then parliament seats couldn't be bought. You are funny sometimes, Bruce :-)
