Sorry for having made the mistake of assuming that all readers of this forum would be of a mind to actually understand the meaning of a sentence rather than get hooked on the choice of a word or two.

Yes, he has read A book, as he has graduated from a couple of schools. However, your president does not read - i.e. He is not a man who enjoys reading books, a trait more often seen with more cultivated people.

Sorry if this is news to you. I didn't mean to break it to you so harshly.

As for his travelling the world - Prior to his presidency, if memory serves me right, Bush had been to China once (alongside his daddy the President), twice to Israel (don't know why), once to Spain (for something to do with his daughter) and once to Mexico.

That, for a man of his means, is ridiculous. That is not "travelling the world".

Before I was 25, I had seen US, most countries in Europe, 5-6 countries of Asia, and travelled the Middle East. All my friends have seen the US and at least 3-4 countries of Europe. Neither me, nor any one of these people come from a dynasty like the Bush family, nor have they ever had a President daddy.

To answer your last question, yes, Bush has said quite a few times that he doesn't like reading books, that he doesn't like to think too much but rather prefers his "gut feelings". What a sad SAD place we are in. The fate of the world in the hands of a guy who can't even be bothered to think...

Oh and don't even think about asking me to spend an hour Googling for quotes. You know it and I know it and so does the thread - Your president doesn't read. He has said as much.
