We need some kind of nationalized health care system. It would save hundreds of billions, trillions, if done right. I'm not an expert at the details but I have heard that a lot of doctora are now calling for the Canada model since our system is such an impossible mess. It might also create a lot of jobs as employers would no longer be responsible for providing medical benefits. I paid for an HMO dental plan recently. I went to the dentist and it didn't cover ANYTHING except extreme dental problems. Couldn't even get a preventative check-up. I was furious. What a waste of money. The HMO's are terrible and they're squarely in the Bush-Frist camp.
