Freedom of association and freedom of conscience are separate issues but in this case they are tightly bound together. This is a case of freedom of association based on issues of conscience. Also if either is important enough to be more important then the principle of non-discrimination or even if only the combination of both is important enough, then you have sufficient weight to either grant such an exception or to not have the law in the first place.

I have already supported his freedom of association, btw, in case you didn't notice, and would decline to regulate him as regards to discrimination.

But he is regulated, would you give him an exception or would you favor striking down the laws, rules and judicial interpretations that would act against his freedom of association?
