As a matter of fact I am following a similar strategy, except I have been selling more calls than I own stock accepting the risk of being called into a "short" position. The profit profile is very wide. If I do get called I intend to sell puts until the short is eliminated by the stock being put to me (when I will be long again). Of course, the upside risk is well hedged by other PM holdings (I hope).

(Not "off topic" 'cause it happens to be a PM stock (as yours is :>)
