Georgia got hammered with huge bills. I don't know about blackouts but I did hear that the prices went extremely high. My brother lives in Marietta, Ga and he told me how many people had their power turned off.

Several power plants went online during the so called crisis. They weren't built in a matter of a few months so there was some planning. I do know that the faulty deregulation bill was passed in 1996. Both parties passed the bill unanimously.

Davis should take some of the blame but there is plenty more to spread around.
