It's an easy way out and excuse to have amnesia. GW was ready to cut the budget of many federal agencies. FBI was one of them. I remember news about that plan. It was the cause of a period of seemingly ineptitude and disarray among and between the intelligence agencies. Information from local agents and critical information from European counterparts were ignored or left unprocessed. The 9/11 incident provided such unprecedented opportunities that were deftly seized and it includes open checkbooks. It's totally and unbelievably amazing what has transpired and the response from the American public and news media were even more astounding. It's surreal and it must be path of destiny.

You must be trying to win a nomination for the Goebbels award. You would have readers believe that Atta et al woke up one morning while Bush was in office and decided to stage 9/11. For your information, 9/11 was being planned long before January 2001 when Bush took office. Al Qaeda bombed the WTC in '93 -- do you think that might have given a slight hint of their intent? Do you seriously believe that the hijackers conceived, planned, and trained for 9/11 after Bush took office? Of course not. If Clinton's gang was so diligent, by your own logic they must have known about 9/11 beforehand, kept it a secret, done nothing about it, and gleefully left the WH (with the china) knowing it would happen on Bush's watch. Now, THAT'S a conspiracy theory to research.
