It's hard to think up non-food rewards

Egad. It's easy for me.

I have a list of special books a mile long I want but can't justify the cost of buying instead of getting out of the library. They make great rewards.

Ditto woodworking tools. I lust after the Lin-Nielsen 60-1/2 block plane and rabbet block plane. At $150 each, that's not a casual purchase for me. Actually, those go on my birthday and Christmas lists but I have to be extra good to get anything of that price.

Either you don't want much (no tickets to Kennedy Center, no prints or paintings for the wall, etc.) or else you buy yourself anything you want without worrying about the cost, in which case I can see why rewards woudl come hard.
