What would you do if there were no SI? Any other sites you get information and useful thoughts from?

<<<Besides, my biggest positions are CAD and paper/physical gold, which are macro plays.

glad to see you are holding CAD, it needs your support -g-

holding cash in one's OWN currency never seems to feel like a good "move" or strategy...but a few weeks ago i looked at goldcorp...UP in american dollars for the year, and DOWN in canuck dollars for the year (at least it was a few weeks ago...) so, being north of the border, i was behind the 8-ball, because i sold canadian dollars to buy paper goldcorp, when i should have been selling paper goldcorp to buy MORE canadian dollars...

anyway, how far do you see the canuck dollar going, versus the american ?

:)

...and Henry is watching sars. It's a great scheme, having swarms of expert eyes on watchful, thoughtful, mode, reporting into HQ.

As you say Jay, watch the watchers. It saves a lot of thinking time. Just figure out which watchers are worth watching.

all I have to do is watch the watchers

Maybe a problem with that. There is a recent case where proper delegation of authority was not made. The three junior officers never realized that one of them had to know where they were at all times.

ps I do not think anyone is at the helm of the good ship USA or UK for that matter.
