Maybe you should consider that God, being the supreme creator of the universe, controls all matter, down to the molecule and its direction. Bad things may not be his direct will but it is most certainly his indirect will.

The Twin Towers would have never been hit without his allowing it.

It very plainly says in the Bible that rain falls on the just and the unjust and that God chastises his people. Throughout the Bible you can find bad things happening to Christians. But what we have a hard time understanding is that flesh is nothing important to God, but the spirit of man is what is considered as being important.
