Richard does Microsoft have to turn over Windows to its competitors?

Do you have any idea how much it costs to bring a medicine to the point of passing the FDA requirements and turning a profit on it? You can spend millions on failures.
Do you invest? Who would invest in companies where there is no possibility for profit? Why would venture capitalists fund any biotech or drug related idea?

It doesn't make sense that they are sold cheaper but we are the only nation that can afford them. It is a charitable and socially demanded gift that we the most hated nation in the world do.
