The stupidity of the claim that that red-blue map shows the Bush won the 2000 election is mind boggling. A candidate can win a national election hands down and lose it according to the reasoning used there. Or lose it catastrophically and still actually win it. Acreage does not vote; people do.

And places like NYC, Los Angeles, DC, and Silicon Valley are hardly just "fly over" country, regardless of what you hillbillies or Rush claim. They are a large part of the American economic miracle. It is interesting that Rush makes this claim while using its ability to get a signal anywhere it the world to get his message out.

That's not to say that those huge chunks of the most productive farmland in the world count for nothing. But cornstalks don't vote.
