In 2000, military service was not much of an issue. It was truth and honesty, both of which Bush used to hoodwink voters. Afterall, he was much less honest and truthful than Gore. The evidence of that is in now.

In 2004, if you can't take away Bush's "war on terror" voters, you either lose or tie. If you tie, expect the GOP to cheat and "win" it again because they're using the same voter roll scrubbing they used in Florida in other states this time around, but not Florida.

In a tie, Florida could still decide it. But the average Florida swing-voter is more like a southern voter than a urban one, pro-military, white and average American conservative. Tough to take away from the Bush machine without stripes on your shoulder or a Silver Star on your chest.

Look at this photo of Bush. This is what you have to defeat in 2004. Looks like an American Adolf Hitler, but it works.

Also notice, Kennedy is starting to stump big-time for Kerry. The first of many DC powerhouses to make sure that Dean is not the nominee. Diane Feinstein throws a party for Kerry next week. This will go on and on and on. The party powerhouses are behind Kerry and can make a big difference. Who will endorse Dean? Anyone significant at all?

When Bush is pitted against former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean, 53 percent of registered voters choose Bush or lean toward Bush; 37 percent choose Dean or lean toward Dean, the poll shows.

Meanwhile, an "unnamed Democrat" beats Bush 46% to 41%.
See what I mean. Middle American decides it.
