What would you have the President do? Continue the policy of Containment? One of the reasons that OBL gave for his declaration of Jihad (against the United States), was American enforcement of the UN Sanctions placed against Iraq. The very existence of U.S. troops in Saudi Arabia: used to "contain Iraq" - enforce no fly zones and UN sanctions, were reasons that OBL used to declared war on the United States. This means that for close to 10 years, the U.S. and others, have sustained terrorist attacks from Al Qaeda because of the policy of Containing Iraq and our role in enforcing them.
