Krugman Krugman has been all over the map on economics. He studied with the old Liberal school, and "made his bones" writing about Free Trade while suggesting that protectionism had its uses. Then, when he joined the Clinton Admin, and thought they would take him to the top, he changed his mind and took the free trade side. He is for whatever takes him to the top when and if the Liberals get control of the White House. You can read this in the review of his new book that you posted.
