Slightly less than 10% of the float -- that they can do that transaction at once is bullish -- selling to investment houses that expect to resell the stock, IMO.

NEM obviously saw more profitable use of the funds rather than holding Kinross -- that is not necessarily bearish for KGC -- rather it is simply a reflection of NEM's preference for something else -- that something else you can only participate in by owning NEM. My own guess is that better use of capital -- is not something that NEM expects to bear fruit in the next few weeks, but that they have something in mind with a longer term view.
