Global warming is still an uncertain threat, There is evidence of local changes, John, that normally happen. "Global Warming" is a Religion, not a Science.

Alaska has warmed by eight degrees, on average, in the winter, over the last three decades, according to meteorological records So it's eight now? Don't you remember, late last year the NYT reported seven, and several Alaskan meteorological stations used the web to correct the figure to 2 1/2. The NYT didn't publish a correction if I remember right. "Crack, Sag and Burn" is just too atttractive for them. I don't doubt there are areas of sharp local change. But that in itself doesn't prove anything.
