Kids cant afford colleges much now though, as jobs are so scarce, tuitions are spiking and scholarships are being slashed to the bone. Don't pretend everything's all right for kids during the Bush years. Much of the burden of the Bush policies falls on the young, especially those without well-to-do parents. Things are the toughest they've ever been in my lifetime for kids and college grads. You'd better work your tail off or be well-connected or else join the military. Too few opportunities for too many.
