I wouldn't necessarily label all of government
spending as "services". But, that is not the
primary point that I want to make.

Both the amount of government spending and the amount
of taxes are determined by the political process.
I, as an individual, have no control over the
amount of government spending and the amount of
government taxes.

I pay my bills.
As long as I live in this country,
I obey the law, and I pay the
taxes that the government demands of me.
My personal budget is "balanced" because I
(as an individual) have direct control over
my spending and my income.

If the government cannot balance its budget,
then the collective political process is at
fault (not me personally). You seem to be of the
opinion that we should raise taxes. Fine, that
is your opinion. We disagree. I believe we should
cut taxes and dramatically cut spending. My political
views do not make me personally responsible for
the government's deficit.
