I was sure that the Bridge was going to be attacked as well. Watching the Documentaries now it is obvious the shock and fear was so high that everyone expected even worse. The PBS special the other night showed that someone called the appropriate "hot line" in DC and said that "Angel" would be knocked down. This was the not well known code word for Air Force One. On the basis of this, Cheney wanted Bush to stay out of DC. He ended up in the "War Room" at the Air Force HQ because of this. Bush came back after the Air Force confirmed that the last Foreign Airliner was on the ground.
