I am really unhappy with the news this week that the Trust that owns the "International MarketPlace" the oldest Commercial on the Beach, is going to tear it down in '05 and build a new center. There goes my dancehall!

Can't you get it declared a "Historic Building" thus making it very difficult for anyone to tear it down. That's is what they do in most of the "lefty" cities.
In San Francisco when I lived in North Beach there was this terrible eyesore in North Beach that blocked part of our view to the west. It was an old moth-balled beer factory that hadn't been used in many years, but somehow it was a "Historical Building" so no one could tear it down.
