I would ask you not to prescribe to me how I can think or not. I have not suggested to you that you are wrong to think in a way that many might construe to be that of a bigot. I have respectfully posted to you and would expect the same in return. I have stated that I do not believe in extremist religious views and find them surprisingly similar, whether they be Jewish, Catholic, Moslem or otherwise. I also have stated that I would not judge a modern group by the ancient writings of commentators from centuries before. Judging today's groups by what was commentary thousands of years ago is, as you know, demagoguery of the worst type. There was no internet back then so those who were able to read and write commented on commentaries. Others commented on those commentaries on commentaries. Most of today's world do not believe or follow these ancient commentaries, whether they be Jewish, Christian or Moslem. (I don't know enough about Hindu faith and suspect, from what I've read, that my statements may not fully apply there.) I'm sure most Christians would not want to be judged by the commentaries of a fanatical internet poster in the future. This, in essence, is what many do by claiming that Jews follow the Talmud without question. It just isn't true. Very few modern Jews even know what is contained in the Talmud. It is no more relevant than the Koran or the New Testament to Jews of the 21st century. In fact, I'd way today's Jew is probably more influenced by and can cite more from the New Testament than the Talmud. You do jump from subject to subject so it's hard to have a real dialogue. You have yet to answer my previous posts. You don't seem to have any evidence of thousands of Orthodox Jews in positions to spy and certainly no evidence that they all actually do betray the US. Apparently not having any evidence there, you go on to throw in something about Sharon, again off topic from your prior posts. (I could discuss Sharon, don't particularly like him and feel that most Israelis would not vote for him if the Arabs would only stop the terror and finally go for peace but that's a topic for another few hundred posts. If I actually lived in fear of suicide bombers, I guess I would consider voting for Sharon also. I suspect that anyone reading this who has lost a child or a mother or father to a terrorist might vote for the party that offers more security and/or vengence. It's sad but a fact of life.) As far as your last sentence, you have asked me to join a "universal moral code" presumably one that comports with your beliefs, right? I'll have to respectfully pass on that one. Have a good day.
