<little progress was made on the main theme of the meeting: to slash the subsidies rich nations pay their farmers and lower the tariffs many countries charge for importing farm goods.>

Little progress will be made, until the world's poor nations are able to unite, to force the rich countries to end farm subsidies/tariffs, with the threat of reciprocal tariffs against all the things rich nations want to sell freely to poor nations. The Ugandas and Uruguays of the world need to say, in unison, "We won't talk about the Singapore issues (what the rich want) until you talk about our issues."
