I posted that article to you because you have made some rhetorical statements like "over my dead body" when the dissolution of prop 13 has been mentioned. So you appear to have a stake in the law.

But their report recommended broadening the state's tax base to make it less dependent on volatile sources of income, and making it easier to pass tax and bond measures.

This statment is politico-speak for removing dependency on income and sales taxes, and shifting burdens back more evenly to property owners.

I know you are aware that Silicon Valley wants to reform the tax laws here, this is just more confirmation of it.

BTW it doesn't matter whether SV remains the "center of the world" or not. All that matters is whether we have a fair tax system at least to me.
