<<<The president's overall job approval rating remains stable and relatively strong, a reflection of broad confidence in his
leadership despite increasing concerns about his policies. Fifty-eight percent approve of the job he is doing as president, while 40 percent disapprove.>>>
Hard to get a rounded picture of here because of all the war and wmd talk. Counting casualties.
The improved economy hardy gets a mention, while many new families and new lives will be started because of it..
The GNP is running at $15.7 trillion with an estimated growth of 3 to 4 percent. Policies which provide growth rather than stagnation would add $600 bil to that in two years and increase the tax base to cover war costs..
Do we hear about the tragedies or benefits of that huge tax cut?
Are there some reporters on the scene, giving us a hour by hour report (with video) on the progress being made.?
Perhaps a few personal interest stories ? Comparisons with 1929, 1987 ?. Now vanished from the news.
In the same way that comparisons with Viet Nam or WW!! will soon vanish from the news but perhaps not from the Thread (g)
IMO the US economy is based upon the concept of keeping the money moving, and that is certainly happening here,

Polls can give you a sense of direction -- and the direction for Bush is quite clear -- down.
