patricia, absolutely. his tax cut was stupid and did nothing but line the pockets of the very wealthy. the "trickle down" jobs didn't appear. i had a couple folks on this thread mad at me for suggesting trickle up made more sense in an overcapacity environment. i still believe that. the low income folks shoulda got most of the break so they woulda gone out and actually bought stuff. that woulda created jobs.

but bush is either dumb or just pandered to the greed of the wealthy.

they had the veep on tv yesterday talking about how he was a "deficit hawk." i coulda sworn i heard, "i'm a deficit hawk during everyone else's administration, but we understand there are exceptions like when i'm in office."

not sure.

yes, i'm disgusted by irresponsible people who PIMP the public. i put bush and davis in that category.

btw, patricia, please educate the demicans on the correct response when asked why it is fair the top 5% of the people pay 70% of the taxes. i'm tired of the stuttering and stupid looks i see as the typical response. i'm tired of sean hannity's smug little facial expression every time he asks that question and no cogent answer is given.

the correct answer is that the top 5% of the people own 70% of the stuff in america and out to foot about 70% of the bill. i've NEVER heard that response, which is so obvious it shoulda been the first response.
