Hi FaultLine; If ObL truly is dead (and I wouldn't be surprised if he is), then Mark Steyn's conclusion "We’re winning this war", is sadly contradicted. Unless "winning" means that Al Qaeda keeps growing from new recruits.

The truth is that Al Qaeda has set off more bombs since Iraq was invaded than they ever did in a similar period before the war. The Iraq invasion has been a beacon of hope for Al Qaeda, and if even the deaths of all the major Al Qaeda leaders fails to stop the bombing, or even to decrease the number of bombs, then the obvious conclusion is that while Osama bin Laden is just a man, Al Qaeda is immortal.

In my opinion, Al Qaeda will not begin to shrink until after we pull our peckers out of the hornet's nest.
