There is little reason for comprehensive social discrimination. But suppose that there is are poles representing those with pure heterosexual or pure homosexual orientations, and those with varying positions between the poles. Society has a right to signal which "team" it would, comprehensively, prefer its children to play on, if there is a choice. Since many homosexuals appear to have no choice, there should be broad acceptance, but since there may be those influenced by societal norms, it is good to have some guidance........
