A good example of US intervention nose poking. Backing the Shah of Iran in the 1970s only inflamed them.. This culture is too explosive to contain under democracy. Unless they have an iron hand over them they forever squabble and fight. Each other if an enemy is not handy.

It is a heartbreaker for the citizens of the US. In the pocketbook!

Did anyone seriously believe the BS story about "bringing democracy to the Arabs"? The whole idea was to destroy Islam. Now the locals can get on with the job.
