Not a lot of oil in Bosnia or Kosovo. Or Afghanistan. Or Haiti. Or Panama.

Bosnia and Kosovo and Haiti were harldy "right wing president" interventions. Unless you wish to join the few of us who can make the case that Clinton actually favored policies more in line with the moderate wing of the Republican party than, historically, the Democratic party. But that's still hardly "right wing."

Buruma just went off a deep end in that portion of his essay about "the left". It happens to many writers. The mistake was Nadine's, posting it here as a valid attack on "the left."
