Under the Constitution, its the electoral college tally that determines the winner of the Presidential election. Also under our Constitution, legal disputes are settled by legal actions. The highest Court is the USSC which heard the Bush case and decided that the whacky method by which the Gore camp wanted to count the votes in Florida violated the Constitution and a federal statute. Accordingly, the Court decided that the electoral votes in FL belonged to Bush...and those votes put him over the top as far as the electoral votes needed to win the Presidency. Accordingly, GWB is the duly elected President and Gore lost.....

Alas, Bush won by winning the lawsuit! Thank you.....you made my point!

(I tried to use small words so you could follow).

You're too kind!
