THen why was his patriotism called into question repeatedly?

My recollection is that his supporters were the ones who raised the patriotism issue - as in "How dare you criticize him! He lost his legs in Vietnam for chrissakes - are you questioning his patriotism?!" The fact is that Georgia voters saw him as a highly partisan, somewhat left of center Democrat and he lost his seat as a result (and in spite of the fact that most voters view him as a heroic symbol of service to the nation). In other words, though Georgians generally liked him, they wanted a senator who would be more supportive of Bush, so they voted for the Republican. He feels he didn't deserve to lose and wants to blame it on the evil doings of the GOP - big surprise! "They cheated! I shoulda won! They lied! They're nothing but a bunch of lying liars!"

He was shocked at how Ga votes in churches.

We also vote in Kroger stores and other buildings where the owners offer up the space. We have thousands of precincts, so we use the space that's available. Where do you vote?
