Could be. However, against Bush, his military credentials are very strong. A good part of the reason for moderates to support Bush is his stance on the strong military. Clark trumps that stance, and can take the position of someone who has real combat and command experience. As it becomes more and more apparent that Bush incorrectly relied on the opinions of neocons who don't know one iota about the military and combat situations, he will seem more and more like the guy who can both 'fix' our misbegotten foreign policy and carry forward on the REAL war - against terrorism.

He will be weaker on domestic issues, so should find a strong domestic VP - Kerry?
