Both the DOJ and the FL SOS have certified the machines as reliable. My understanding is that other methods in use in CA actually have higher error rates and that the State was moving to replace all the machines under a consent decree by 2005.....so I guess I'll wait until I see more of the facts developed before I pass judgment....
