Hi Nat,

Re: Your questions to Dean --

It would be highly unusual for a candidate to respond to such questions from a member of the general public. I doubt that you would even get a reply from a candidate for county commissioner on such a highly emotionally charged subject. :)

So, I wouldn't hold a resentment against Dean on that score. I assume that he's some flavor of Christian, though not Catholic because the media would make note of such an affiliation. And as far as tolerance for minority religions, all Dean has to do is to match Bush's rhetoric in order to satisfy the mainstream. Of course Bush's rhetoric in no way matches the actions of his Dept. of Justice.

Re: Who knows American spin outlets (a.k.a American media) may portray this unknown guy as a real challenger and may market him to stupid American public if he falls in line with their corporate agenda

It has been a hard week for Dean. The media has begun its usual 'gotcha' coverage of purported faux pas and backtracking by Dean. This is something that Dean may need some coaching on, but I don't find it a critical flaw.

For example, when Dean supposedly said that the U.S. needs to take a 'neutral' stance on Israel and Palestine, the Zionist/Likudnik media became unglued. I thought that the comment was pretty non-committal. The crazies in Israel's lobby consider anything less than messianic zeal for the expansion of greater Israel to be treason. So who is being unreasonable here? Certainly not Howard Dean.
