There was a revolucion. And in a revolution, there are winners and losers. If there is any claim to any property in Cuba at this point in time, then let the courts settle it some day.

I think it is a stretch, though. Do the American Indians have claim to the lands that were stolen from them? How about the Blacks who had generations of labor stolen from them?

Cuba was a rough and wild country before Fidel stepped in and cleaned house. The country was being run by the Mafia. Drinking, gambling, prostitution, coercion and blackmail ran the island. And if there was a difference of opinion, it was settled by a hit.

While I don't particularly agree with Castro in his philosophy, I do see why he was compelled to muck out the stalls. Capitalisim, the kind that was allowed to run unchecked in Cuba, in combination with thugs and corruption, would make a communist out of most of us, especially when it seems the only other option.
