First, I didn't make the case, I posted articles that did. Secondly, you're at odds with the real issue here. You worry because someone who has fallen for his country is getting a paltry, pathetic $8 a day for meals while Halliburton execs are sloshing back Dom Perignon celebrating their carte blanche contracts for the "rebuilding of Iraq". Halliburton steals the oil from the Iraqis and steals taxes from hardworking Americans while luxuriating here at home and American hero troops risk everything getting nothing in return to protect their interests in Iraq. The last thing someone fighting for his life thinks about is bills. The last thing he wants when he comes home is to find bill collectors trying to retrieve their pound of flesh. These men's lives are ruined, their families are in desperate straights because one of the providers is making a pittance while risking his or her life. I say let them have the money and make Halliburton pay - they have the open ended unlimited funds contracts to do it without missing the money. Better yet, stop paying Halliburton.
