I think they'll make it work, Sam. The main difference between RDRT and QNTM/DEC is that QNTM/DEC was never the volume operation that RDRT was in its prime before it was mismanaged into Chapter 7. It's probably going to take a few more drive programs to find out, but it already appears from the pre-announcement that WDC managed to cherry-pick ReadRite's best assets and engineers. That's probably why Seagate and Hitachi entered the bidding for the RDRT assets that WDC ultimately won for less than $100M in cash.
