Yeah, they've called me for jury duty enough times. I'd be just as happy if they couldn't reach me for that. <g>

When I've been notified in the past, I've missed the deadline for responding every time. I guess everyone here already knows that I don't read my mail. I pay a penalty on my personal property tax every year, too, because I don't read my mail. And my homeowner's insurance lapses every year, too. But the county coped pretty well when I called and apologized. They just put me in the next jury pool. They didn't seem to care one way or the other.

As for notifying peoply by email, they can do that if they want. I worked on that issue while at EPA. They can make email legally equivalent if they want to. They just don't usually want to because their lawyers don't want to go out on a limb.
