Challenging rivals to debate is smart politics. Here in California, Arnold has lost support because he refuses to debate. The debate challenge came about because Dean accused kerry of saying things "behind his back". Kerry replied, fine, then I'll say them to your face, just debate. Dean is the one who will be weakendd by this, not Kerry. Kerry has no fear of facing dean, but the opposite is not true. Kerry's breadth of experience, dean's recent fumbles and even Kerry's 8 inch height advantage all scare Dean.
