Kerry is #1 in the latest CNN and Fox polls. He had a tough August when the press gave Dean all the attention but now he's fighting back. He'll end up winning or coming very close in both New Hampshire and Iowa, and will run as strongly as anyone throughoug the primaries.

"Dean's a different story. He's fired up"

But he's being made to look the fool that he is by parroting lines written by Carvell as his own. After seeing this disingenuous crap I am sure that he won't be the one to loose to Bush.

Dean's the phenom. McGovern in 1972. Goldwater in 1964. He will get the same results, of course, but THIS is how both parties periodically clean themselves out and adjust to the political trends of the future. It explains why we have been virtually a two-party system since the Civil War ended. It also explains why our two-party system provides more stability than British-style democracy and the multi-party systems in other European nations.

The Democrats are in danger of being destroyed in 2004, and the two-party system with them. That would be a long-term negative for the country. My own opinion is that Clintonism (a viscous form of moral and intellectual corruption) and overt treason (chic among most Democrat elitists) will be washed out by their massive 2004 defeat, but the party-now over 200 years old-will survive...
