The first objection I have is any solution where electronic machines with secret unaudited code and no paper audit trail are used. The second objection is any unusual meddling by the courts in the electoral process. I'm not up on the history of court influence on elections, so maybe the 9th circuit is on track. Other than that, a delay in the voting isn't a big deal, IMO, even tho' the candidates will scream bloody murder. The primary concern is getting valid, auditable citizen votes.
